On Saturday 29 August, Heart to Heart Scotland invites you to take part in our Summer fundraising event.
We are having a Sponsored Walk along 2 of the sections of the Ayrshire Coastal Path and both sections have been listed as “easy” so that will allow as many people as possible to join in! You decide which section appeals to you - you can walk with a friend, or for more impact, organise a local group to do the walk with you. If you are not able to walk, then you can still be a part of our fundraising event by sponsoring someone else, offering transport to and from starting and finishing points and helping with stewarding along various points on the walk.
The official guide book:”Ayrshire Coastal Path - LDW long distance path guidebook” which details all the routes, tides and scale of all 8 walks can be bought in most book shops or from the Ayrshire Tourist Office. The sections that we will be walking are;
Section 7 - Ayr to Troon...7.8 miles taking approx 3.5 hours with the walk starting from Ayr Tourist Office. Car Parking is available at Ayr seafront and the harbour.
Section 8 - Irvine to Troon via beach = 6 miles taking approx 3 hours with the walk starting from the Magnum Centre. Car Parking is available at Irvine Beach Park.
We plan to begin each section at the specific venues at approx the same time with registration of yourself/group , a welcome and then it’s best foot forward, with everyone finishing in Troon for a “well done” drink and goodies, and the “stamping” of your form on completion, at the halls at Seagate Evangelical Church, West Portland St, KA10 6AB. There will be a steward at the harbour section of the walk to direct you should you require directions for the last half mile!
Directions for both walks will be given on the day - but check www.ayrshirecoastalpath.org or purchase the book beforehand to get ahead!
If this is something you would like to join us in, sponsor forms are available below or we can post one out to you. Please send an A5 size s.a.e to:

We look forward to hearing from you - it will exercise our hearts in more ways than one.
