Heart to Heart Scotland

How to give

Simply, the projects to improve the lives of abandoned babies and children in Romanian orphanages are funded by donations. The Trust was set up to help upgrade the conditions that the children live in.

In order to raise the awareness of the many needs that still exist there, Maggy and Lesley spend as much time as possible visiting organisations in the UK speaking of the times and experiences they had in Bucharest.

To give financially, on a regular basis or to organise an event with the purpose of fund raising for Heart to Heart will make a difference to the life of these babies and children. Our overheads are relatively small therefore, the benefits from any funds raised will be directed solely to the projects.

We are in frequent contact with the organisation in Romania to ensure our funds are directed to the most needy project. Maggy and Lesley have also made annual trips to the orphanage and these are highlighted elsewhere in the website.

Should you wish to make a donation then there are several methods of doing so depending on your preference. May I first draw your attention to the merits of Gift Aid. Provided you pay tax in the UK, we can reclaim tax on your giving of 22%. This means for every pound you give, an additional 28p is added. Transitional Relief' introduced to adjust to the fall in basic rate tax (from 22% to 20%) is available on Gift Aid donations made from 6 April 2008 until 5 April 2011.

There is no requirement to commit yourself to any set amount or give for a fixed period. What is required is signing a Gift Aid Declaration with the necessary information to provide an audit trail.

The necessary Gift Aid Declaration or Standing Order Mandate are available.

Any one off payments should be sent to;

c/o Mrs S Anderson - 30 Rouken Glen Road - Glasgow G46 7JL

Cheques to be made payable to Heart to Heart Scotland.

If you can Gift Aid your donation please download this form from the website and attach with your cheque.
